Leaving on a Jet plane- NEXT WEEK!!!!

We are on our way to get our little girl =)

We're hoping to leave Minnesota next Thursday the 9th and arrive on Saturday the 11th! Our court date should be on Wednesday the 15th. We're looking into hotels and getting our bags packed!

We are so excited and as ready as we can be (i think)! We'll be in the islands for Christmas and New Years but it'll be so great =)

We hear internet access is limited but we plan on posting every couple/few days with updates and hopefully pictures.

Time to officially book our flight!!

Just waiting on the court date now!!!!

Our FBI clearance has arrived and we are now just waiting for RMI to give us a date to be there!! We're sooooo excited! Tomorrow is Monday in RMI so hopefully we'll hear something soon. It's usually 2 weeks or so but I have heard people having to leave in 4 days ( I hope we get the 2 weeks, just to prepare a little more!)

quick update

Shawn called the FBI again today. There was an issue with our envelops but it has been resolved and our clearance will be mail out Monday! How long does it take mail to arrive from West Virginia??

Surprise Baby Shower 8-O

On Saturday our family threw us a surprise baby shower! So many people were there, it was very touching. We ate, played games, had cake (pineapple upside down cake - my favorite!) and just hung out =) It was really fun and we got so much useful stuff.

Thank you to everyone who helped put it together and to those who attended. It meant so much to us to see our whole support group there. Everyone has been so supportive during these difficult years and we're very grateful for everything everyone has done to help us get through.

They're (almost) on their way!!

Good News =D

I called the FBI again today and I was told that they are done processing our prints and our letter should be in the mail by early next week! This mean once we get that letter, I will cry, and we can go get our little girl!!! We'll be getting a court date to appear before the judge in the RMI and we need to be there by that date. I think it's going to be an amazing Thanksgiving!!

Here's one of the new onesies we got Emi. It's a 12mo. so she'll look so cute walking around in it =).
